We’re hiring a Digital Project Manager! - Primate | Digital Agency Edinburgh

We’re hiring a Digital Project Manager

This job is pivotal to the success of our projects, the satisfaction of our clients and the profitability of our business. You’ll be working alongside a small but senior team of digital experts, who are responsive, friendly and solutions focussed.

You’ll manage all of the projects running through the agency, with a value of around £400k per year. This involves handling more than one project at a time, at varying stages, as they work their way through the studio.

You must have:

  • Experience in project management and in delivering successful digital projects
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to work under a bit of pressure and build an easy, confident rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Excellent communication and social skills, being able to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and a passion for detail
  • The ability to multitask and pivot priorities regularly
  • A desire to work in a rewarding, fast paced, fun environment as part of a small team
  • An understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies - qualifications are not a requirement
  • Experience working in an agency environment

With a strong focus on collaboration and learning on the job, you’ll quickly be introduced to our key clients and be brought up to speed on their current projects. We look for all our team members to be comfortable operating independently in our supportive environment and be willing to take on responsibility without being micromanaged.

Your day to day role will include:

  • Managing all aspects of our web projects; from kick-off through to production and launch
  • Maintaining all necessary project controls: Statements of Work, Project Plans etc.
  • Checking in with our team and ensuring everyone remains on track
  • Deftly navigating change during the project lifespan
  • Staying focused on project path and helping clients to stick to it
  • Staying focused on the commerciality of projects
  • Leading quality assurance
  • Liaising with clients daily and communicating between them and our team
  • Using internal task management and communication tools such as Jira and Basecamp (experience not a prerequisite)
  • Supporting the Managing Director in managing the studio schedule and time planning.
