Hello, curious stranger,

I'm Steve and I've been working with Primate in one form or another since 2013. I first joined as a designer, then took over as Creative Director, and now I freelance as a Creative Consultant. It's been great to have been able to evolve my role over the years. Pun intended.

When I work on projects with Primate, I’m usually responsible for overseeing the design side of the work, ensuring its creativity, high quality, and ambition. It’s always been important that we continually push both ourselves and our clients, never becoming complacent in a medium that’s constantly evolving.

Challenge is at the heart of everything Primate does. Design isn’t purely about solving problems but also about a clarity of vision. Although difficult, we often have to resist the temptation to just follow the predictable status quo. Balancing that with objective based user-centered thinking is key, though.

Contrary to popular belief, I've never seen the film Saving Private Ryan.
